NEXTITE CA Debonder

NEXTITE CA Debonder is formulated to rapidly dissolve and debond cured cyanoacrylate adhesive. It is more powerful than conventional cyanoacrylate debonders and works almost instantly. It enables the separation of bonded components or the removal of excess cured cyanoacrylate adhesive while reducing the need for excessive mechanical force that could otherwise damage the substrates.

Product Overview

NEXTITE CA Debonder is a professional grade, powerful solvent based solution designed to dissolve and soften cured cyanoacrylate adhesive. It allows bonded components to be separated or excess adhesive to be removed where mechanical methods alone are impractical or may cause damage to substrates.

 This product allows users to correct any mistakes and remove dried adhesive from tools, workstations and projects as well as separate assemblies where cyanoacrylate adhesive has been used. Only small amounts need to be used as NEXTITE CA Debonder is a powerful cyanoacrylate adhesive debonder. 

It can be brushed on, applied by a cotton bud or touch up paint pen tool, rubbed with a cloth or controlled droplets can be applied directly onto the adhesive. Suitable application method depends on material and exposure of adhesive, please read instructions and identify which method is best suited for your use case.

Anything that dissolves cyanoacrylate will also damage plastics, painted surfaces or coatings. It must be used with care when working with delicate materials.

Instructions for use

Standard Substrates, exposed adhesive

When working with non-delicate substrates, cured cyanoacrylate adhesive can be removed using several application methods. Apply NEXTITE CA Debonder by brushing, rubbing with a cloth, applying controlled droplets directly onto the adhesive, or dabbing with a lightly soaked cotton bud or touch up paint applicator to minimise spread. Allow the debonder to soften the adhesive, then lift or wipe away the loosened material. For thicker or more stubborn adhesive, reapply the debonder and allow additional time for the debonder to work before removal. Repeat until fully removed. 

Standard Substrates, adhesive between bonded parts

For non-delicate substrates bonded together, apply small droplets of NEXTITE CA Debonder along the mating edge of the joint. The low viscosity allows the debonder to wick into the bond line. Apply a few drops, allow several seconds for penetration, then reapply. Continue this process until the bond weakens and the parts can be separated. Once separated, softened cyanoacrylate adhesive can be lifted. If adhesive remains, apply additional debonder directly onto the adhesive until it is fully removed.

Delicate Substrates, exposed adhesive

When working with delicate substrates and exposed cyanoacrylate adhesive, proceed slowly and with care. Apply NEXTITE CA Debonder using a fine brush, cotton bud or touch up paint applicator to maintain control. Apply small amounts at intervals of approximately 30 seconds, allowing the adhesive to soften gradually. Continue until the cyanoacrylate can be gently removed without damaging the substrate. The slower and more careful you work the less chance you have of damaging the delicate substrate.

Delicate Substrates, adhesive between bonded parts

It is highly likely that the delicate substrate will be damaged or partially damaged in this case. To attempt to save the substrates, apply small amounts of CA Debonder using a fine brush and allow sufficient time for penetration. Work patiently and avoid overusing CA Debonder. As the cyanoacrylate begins to soften, twist or peel the components apart. Substrate damage may still occur.

Shelf Life, Storage and Pack Size

NEXTITE CA Debonder has a 24 Month Shelf Life when stored correctly.

Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight, an enclosed cabinet is recommended, to extend the shelf life of this product. Keep the open container tightly closed do not leave open.
