Adhesives for Acrylic Fabrication

Acrylic also known as PMMA is widely used across signage, display manufacturing, shopfitting and fabrication projects where clarity, strength and a premium finish is required. It offers excellent clarity and weather resistance, but achieving a clean, durable bond requires the right adhesive system and correct application methods. 

Acrylic fabrication demands strong structural bonds without compromising on aesthetics. Adhesives must deliver high clarity, minimal bubbling and long-lasting joints. Solvent Adhesives chemically fuse acrylic and are the most widely used in acrylic fabrication, they provide great clarity and are budget friendly. UV Adhesives are used for crystal clear “liquid” looking bonds with fast controlled curing done by UV light. Two Part Reactive Acrylic Adhesives offer gap filling capacity and structural strength where required. Instant Adhesives provide dissimilar material bonding and fast fixture time, low bloom/ low odour variants are best for acrylic.
