Product Description

NEXTITE UV1700 is an on demand fast curing, thick gel viscosity UV adhesive with a non-running, no-drip formula, so it stays exactly where it is placed. This provides precise, controlled application, even on vertical surfaces and fine detailed work, without the adhesive flowing out of the join. It bonds a wide range of materials, including plastics, metals and glass, making it a versatile choice for assemblies that combine different substrates. 

Once cured, UV1700 forms a slightly flexible bond with transparent bond lines, so the finished joint stays clean,  the flexibility helps it cope with small movement and stress. Due to its gel viscosity NEXTITE UV1700 can be used in applications that require some gap filling. It can also be used for encapsulation, protecting small electrical components. To cure, at least one of the bonded materials must transmit UV light, or the adhesive must be cured on top of the components where the light can reach it.

Application & Uses

UV1700 suits a wide range of precision work:
  • Electronics: encapsulating, connector reinforcement, electronic assembly.
  • Jewellery: small precision assemblies.
  • Glass & Plastics: component assembly, decorative fittings, precision bond, glass/plastic to metal bonding.
  • Vertical bond lines: applications where the adhesive must not drip.
  • Bond lines with gaps: applications where the bond line may require some gap filling.

Precision Tips / Nozzles

NEXTITE UV1700s syringe style packaging has a leur lock attachment making it suitable for our full range of tips and nozzles. 

Instructions for Use

  1. Ensure all bonding surfaces are clean and free of grease. Use NEXTITE PROPREP or ACRI-BOND CLEANER (for delicate materials) and allow the surfaces to dry completely.
  2. Dispense adhesive onto surface using applicator tool.
  3. Cure with suitable UV light 

Shelf Life, Storage and Pack Size

NEXTITE UV1700 has an 8 Month Shelf Life when stored correctly.

Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight, an enclosed cabinet is recommended, to extend the shelf life of this product. Keep the open container tightly closed do not leave open.
